I loved this listen. I watched part of the series on TV, but not all of it a while ago. I wanted to read the books before really diving into the T series completely.
I love the teenage point of view of Belly, and how she processes so many emotions. Through heart break, first love, grief, family divorce, sibling issues and friendship issues along with so much more. It brought me back to my high school days and my mindset back then. I fell in love with Belly as a kid sister. I can't wait for the next two books in this series.

I absolutely have been loving this series. It has brought be back to my own high school days. And the mind set and drama that kids go through at this age.
However, this book brings us into where Suzann passes away and how Jeremiah and Conrad handle the passing of their mother. Conrad and Belly are still dating from the last book. but it ends badly because Conrad doesn't know how to handle his feelings. Belly struggled with her grief and her conflicting feelings for both Conrad and Jerimiah as well. When Conrad disappears, Jeremiah and Belly find him at the Cousins house and spend a few nights reliving their memories of Suzanna. Only to be surprised by a realtor showing up at the door. Belly begs her mom for help even though her mom is distant due to her own grief. Laurel digs her heals in with Jerimiah's and Conrad's dad and helps find a solution. Belly also finds a resolution to her heart during her time at the Cousins House as well.

This completes this series. loved this series and I can't wait to binge watch the shows now. I felt like I watched Belly, Cam, and Jer grow up through the grief of Suzanna and the heart break of figuring out their feelings at such young ages.
This book, even though it was good, was probably my least favorite. Belly finds out that Jer cheated on her during Spring Break and instead of working through it. He propose to her. I think both knew this was terrible idea at such a young age, but neither wanted to admit it. Belly struggles with her relationship with her mother through the preparations of the wedding and her support. Its heart wrenching at times. But I loved at the end the epilogue where you find out ultimately where everyone ends up.

The Perfect Storm
By Carley Fortune

410 pages
6/29 - 7/28//2026
Our Perfect Storm start out as a great and strong summer read for me. I loved the relationship that Frankie and George had growing up. How they helped each other through their tough childhoods and were there for each other. It was predictable, but that ok for me. I still loved the story line and the depth of the characters.
However, the end felt rushed and just seemed to lack depth with just too much sex. There was such a deep relationship between Frankie and George, I wanted a deeper ending. But I did love how Frankie realized a lot of her issues with her mother were because of her assumptions and not fact. Still a good read and would recommend. Still love my Carley Fortune.

The Brain at Rest
By Joseph Jebelli Phd

6/15-7/30/2026
288 pages
This book was a summer book club read for school that my principal started. And I'm surprised I gave it 2 stars. I probably skimmed the entire second half. I found it way to scientific and very dry. It definately put my brain to rest. I would have enjoyed a few more personal stories to be able to relate instad of so much science.
